The ACCA qualification followed, a testament to her dedication and perseverance. It was during this period that Charlotte discovered her true calling – audit and assurance. "I loved the challenge of unraveling complex financial puzzles and finding solutions that made sense," she recalls. Joining Deloitte in 2001, Charlotte's talent shone bright. She juggled ACCA exams with demanding audit work, mastering the delicate balance between theory and practice. "Discipline, time management, and purpose" became her mantra, guiding her through long hours and high-pressure deadlines. As she navigated the complexities of audit and assurance, Charlotte found herself drawn to the financial services industry. "There's something about the dynamic nature of finance that fascinates me," she says. "The industry is constantly evolving, and you need to stay ahead of the curve." Today, Charlotte wields the baton as Ethics Champion and Financial Services Industry leader at Deloitte Ghana. "Finance is built on trust," she says, her voice firm with conviction. "Credibility is your greatest asset, and you must guard it with your life." Her advice to young women starting their careers in finance is simple yet profound: focus on competence, integrity, and wellbeing. "Mens sana in corpore sano" – a sound mind in a sound body – is more than just a mantra; it's a way of life. Charlotte's symphony of finance inspires others.
